There is no club meeting this Saturday as we are all at the annual Durham Wargames show in Gilesgate, Durham, we will resume normal club activities the week after!

Happy gaming!
Herkybirdhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14259986798117222889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3210647933578653476.post-52438783813562586412010-08-17T00:47:00.004+01:002010-09-12T12:32:57.342+01:00UpdateThought I'd post a little update. The next meeting will be on the 11th September as the 4th will be taken up with the Border Reiver Show at Newcastle Arena. I'm sure the Club will be putting on a game but I don't have the details yet.

[EDIT] The game will apparently be a Thirty Years War game using amended Great Captains rules.

There have been a few additions to the Downloads page for Richard's rules, the latest being a Late Medieval Supplement.

Look forward to seeing everyone there and to the resumptions of games next month - assuming I manage to get down to play any!

Cheers
Also, I wanted a game where the player character was 1 man and he had to actually shout orders to his minions, to stop them doing their own thing!
Originally the system was devised for French and Indian war games (IE Last of the Mohicans et al!) – and included casualties in the same chart. I still need more content for some of the pages, especially Napoleonic related and Campaigns, so any input much appreciated guys! If you have any suggestions use the feedback form on the website or post here or the Forums.

See you all at Border Reiver.

AndyTyneside Wargames Clubhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15768724395522272784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3210647933578653476.post-59002737895396798202009-08-23T18:38:00.003+01:002009-08-23T18:51:19.013+01:00Posting GuidelinesAnyone with Author status on the blog can post, and post (within reason!) what they like. However, it would be useful if all posts could follow some basic guidelines regarding labels. This is mainly because the website will link to posts of particular types. For instance, the British Grenadier page will link to all pages with 'british grenadier' and 'AAR' for game reports for those rules. Likewise, if someone is running a campaign it can be labelled as '15mm, great captain, campaign, punic war' and the website will link to all posts.

So to start with can we try the following, please?

announce - anything to do with the club, upcoming games, news etc. These posts will always appear on the front page of the website.

AAR - After Action Report. A game writeup, with or without pictures. Please also add the scale, rules and period.

review - review of any product, figures, rules etc.

comment - opinion on any wargames related subject

general - anything not covered by the above

You can use the existing labels as guides but if you need to add another please keep it obvious and in lowercase

Other than that, post away!Tyneside Wargames Clubhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15768724395522272784noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3210647933578653476.post-48628778589696574892009-06-13T20:55:00.000+01:002009-07-18T22:17:41.684+01:00Welcome to the Tyneside Wargames Club BlogThis is the blog of the Tyneside Wargames Club, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
